A New View
Hello! If you have reached this blog, I’m assuming you already know who I am. Therefore, there is not really a big need for a lengthy introduction post.
If you didn’t know already, the main reason for starting this blog is that I’m starting a new chapter in life. You may have been tipped off by the Rilo Kiley reference in the title. I recently accepted a newspaper job in Florida, starting in early August.
This blog is going to be solely personal. The more I talk about my new job with friends, both the position and the location (a large retirement community), the more I realize that I’m going to have some very interesting stories to tell. It only seems appropriate to start a blog.
Mostly, though, I would like this to be a place where you can drop in and say “hi” and see what I’m up to these days, when I live 1,200+ miles away from my true home, the Midwest. (That came out kind of corny and sentimental)
This is going to be a practice in blogging, too.
Here’s to a new beginning…
